Cloud nothings: Life without sound

I got to know Cloud nothings in 2021 on the now sadly defunct blog nummer van de dag when they did release their album “Attack on memory”. That was one of the albums of that year for me. In the meantime Cloud nothings did release a few other records and most of them were quite good, but none of them was as good as “Attack on memory”. Until “Life without sound” was released. This record is a big contender to end up in my 2017 yearlist.

For people not familiar with Cloud nothings let me try to describe their sound. They play some sort of noisy punky power pop with an open production. Bands that come to mind are Hüsker Dü, The Strokes, Weezer and even Rights of Spring.
